The Arts in the Small Community:
A National Plan
by Robert E. Gard

If you try what may you expect?
First a community welded through art to a new consciousness of self.
A new being, perhaps a new appearance—A people proud of achievement which lifts them through the creative above the ordinary...
A new opportunity for children to find exciting experiences in art, and to carry this excitement on throughout their lives...
A mixing of peoples and backgrounds through art,
a new view of hope for mankind and an elevation of man...
not degradation.
New values for individual and community life AND a sense that here in our place we are contributing to the maturity of a great nation.
If you try you can indeed Alter the face and heart of America.

Thank you to everyone who attended our **“Mad Hatter’s Tea Party” Gala** and paid it forward in support of the Cambridge Summer Concert Season. Your enthusiasm, creativity, fabulous costumes, and generous hearts were absolutely spot on. Because of you, the music plays on! 🎶✨

We loved seeing Wonderland come to life — share your photos with us!

Endless thanks to our incredible Gala Committee — Jen Wallman, Lauren Kelly, Laurie Struss, Vanessa Roberts, Samantha Dalsing, Natasha Zinzow, and Kristen Stockwell (who did an absolutely amazing job with every magical detail!) — for bringing this event to life with such heart and imagination.

A special thank you to Cambridge Winery for generously hosting us, and to the many talented artists who donated their work to our auction. Together, we make the arts thrive in our community.

We can’t wait to see you at Veterans Park on June 5th for our first concert featuring hometown favorite The Trophy Husbands!

And it’s not too late to add your support — visit [www.cambridgewiarts.org](http://www.cambridgewiarts.org) to help keep this free community concert series going strong.

See you under the summer sky! 🎶✨
