We made a donation to the Cambridge / Isanti NASP (National Archery in School Program) to pay for the rental of the gym at the AFRC (Armed Forces Reserve Center) in Cambridge where they hold their practices.

Our Chapter purchased a Redneck deer blind which will be used at the Phillip G. Nyman County Park in Isanti County for a special Disabled Veteran’s Deer Hunt. The Isanti County MDHA Chapter’s members have volunteered to help with the orientation, Site In and have put together a volunteer team to help with the recovery and handling of the deer after the harvest. The other blinds were donated by “Beyond the Yellow Ribbon” and the “Andy Englund Family”. Other donations and volunteers include Isanti County Sportsmen’s Club, Tim Marion (MNDNR), Traver Fields (MNDNR), CO Justin Frisch (MNDNR), Barry Wendorf (Isanti County Parks), Kevin Kriesel (Isanti County MDHA), Matt Braaten (C/I Director of Athletics & Activities) and Jamie High (Isanti County Veteran’s Services).

Isanti County Chapter of MDHA made a donation to “Little Wilderness” Golf Outing. We not only sponsored a hole but sent a team of four to participate. The team consisted of John, Jeremy & Landon Hass and Mike Lindell, and the rumor is they had a blast!!!! Check out “Little Wilderness”, they do an AWESOME job creating outdoor events for kids.

🦌 GOOD LUCK, MINNESOTA YOUTH DEER HUNTERS! 🦌

The wait is almost over! Minnesota's Youth Deer Hunting Season kicks off Thursday, October 15th!

The Minnesota Deer Hunters Association wishes all our young hunters a safe, successful, and memorable hunt! 🍂🌲

Whether it's your very first time in the deer stand or you're heading out for another season, remember that hunting is about more than harvesting a deer. It's about making memories, learning new skills, spending time with family and mentors, and carrying on Minnesota's great hunting traditions.

👏 A special THANK YOU to all the parents, grandparents, mentors, and volunteers who take the time to introduce the next generation to the outdoors. You are the future of our hunting heritage!

Physical tagging of your harvest is no longer required ❌

The DNR no longer requires a physical tag to be attached to big game (deer, elk, bear), furbearers, turkey, or lake sturgeon at the time of harvest. Those physical tags are now replaced with the act of site validation.

At the site of the harvest, licensed hunters will need to validate prior to moving the animal. This can be done through:

• The mobile app, MN DNR Licensing (site validation/harvest registration)

• By hand on a printed site validation, provided by a license retailer or printed at home

If you choose to do the latter, just keep your printed site validation on your person as you transport your harvest.

Remember to complete the process by registering your harvest either online, through the app, or at participating license retailer within the required timeframe.

If you were offline during your mobile site validation/harvest registration, simply re-open your app when you're back in service to submit your information.

Last night our chapter hosted the Hunting Kick Off Party & Monthly Meeting!! Thank you to everyone that joined us and helped make the night memorable!

A huge THANK YOU to our volunteers and to everyone who stopped by the Isanti County MN Deer Hunters booth at the Isanti County Fair!

It was great meeting so many new faces, catching up with familiar ones, sharing stories, answering questions, and talking about our passion for conservation, hunting, and supporting our local community.
