One of our Community Advocate and Educators, Dounia Antoine, was recently appointed to the City of Cambridge Commission on Immigrant Rights and Citizenship (CIRC)! CIRC has been a fantastic partner to us over the years and is a go-to resource for all things related to immigration. They provide information, referrals, guidance, coordination, and technical assistance on immigrant rights and citizenship issues. It's made up of 11 volunteer members with knowledge, expertise, and experience with immigration issues. Congratulations, Dounia!

Yesterday our "Ethiopian Hour" group celebrated Ethiopian New Year! It was a festive celebration filled with great food, coffee, music, and dance. The room was filled with so much joy, kinship, and cultural exchange. A special thanks to Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui for coming and to the North Cambridge Senior Center Cambridge Council on Aging for hosting us as always. And to all of the participants who cooked, we thank you for sharing your delicious food with us all!
