Yesterday, we had the privilege of joining and supporting our partner, FAME Africa, during their 3rd Marathon, which raised vital support for trauma and emergency care services at FAME Hospital. Together, we ran, cheered, and celebrated alongside the wider community in support of this life-saving mission.

Our younger children, Raif, Eliza, Johnny, Jetruda, Emma, and Bahati, proudly participated in the 2km run and swept the awards in their category! Their energy and joy made the day even more special.

Congratulations to FAME on a powerful and impactful event. We are truly honored to stand with you in strengthening emergency and trauma care for all.

Today’s proud farmers! 🥬

While school is out, we love using this extra time to equip our kids with valuable life skills and responsibilities beyond the classroom. Today, that meant heading out to the small garden they started by themselves a while ago with the help of our gardener, Laurian Margwe, and patron, Riziki Mwailubi, to harvest fresh veggies for their houses.

It is simple, shared work. And in it, they are learning how to show up, work together, and take responsibility in the most natural way.

Swipe to see our kids' garden!

As we conclude Mental Health Awareness Month, this year’s theme, "More Good Days, Together," stands as proof that the heaviest burdens are never meant to be carried alone.

Click the link below to read the incredible story of how we broke the silence, defied the stigma, and spent the last five years creating more good days for our kids and staff at RVCV.

Meet Rachel Hezroni Tesha. At 28, she is a proud mother of three, a dreamer, and one of six incredible women who have just spent the past month beginning to shape their futures with us.

Rachel’s journey hasn't been a straight line. When financial constraints cut her education short at Form 4, it would have been easy to let go of her ambitions. Instead, she kept dreaming. As her family grows, so does her determination to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with her husband, contributing to their household and building something uniquely her own.

Through our RVWG program, we are currently training six women from the community, continuing our work of expanding impact by empowering women with practical skills and confidence to support their livelihoods.

This International Nurses Day, we celebrate our incredible nurses who stand at the frontlines of care at our rural health clinic and partner schools, bringing healing, compassion, and hope to the community every single day.

We could never forget our house mothers, the women who pour out love, patience, wisdom, and strength into our children every single day.

From the first day a child joins the village until they grow into adulthood, our house mothers are there every step of the way. They do more than provide care; they instill values, teach behavior, nurture character, and create the kind of love and stability that turns the village into a true home. Their selfless dedication continues to shape confident, grounded young adults long after childhood.

Happy Mother’s Day to the house mothers at RVCV!
