Last Friday Green Cambridge had a great group of volunteers join us for our Biodiversity and iNaturalist Walk in the Alewife Brook Reservation! Thank you so much to everyone who joined us in appreciating and observing our local shared environment!
This free educational walk was guided by Green Cambridge staff highlighting local plant and wildlife, how to identify them, and the ecological importance of the Alewife. Participants were also shown how to upload observations using iNaturalist to participate in the upcoming City Nature Challenge (CNC) Global Bioblitz.
If you missed this event and want to learn more about the CNC, we will be holding another Biodiversity and iNaturalist training on April 20th!
This will be the first day of week long free educational walks in the Alewife to celebrate Earth Week! We will also highlight how to join GC for our own CNC Bioblitz on April 24th for our final day of Earth Week!
Have fun, contribute to science, and explore nature anywhere, from your backyard to urban forests, while connecting with communities worldwide!
