This Thursday at 7pm, Brookline Rotary's featured speaker will be McKenzie Wilkins — Program Manager at Harvard Business School's Leadership Initiative and Incoming PhD Student at Oxford University — who will present on the growing economic inequality in the United States.

In McKenzie's words: “ Economic inequality in the United States has surged to levels reminiscent of the pre-1940s, with the gap between the wealthiest Americans and the rest of the population continuing to widen (Saez & Zucman, 2020). This presentation explores how such inequality exacerbates disparities in health, education, and environmental conditions.

Our club president Alain Duchemin and IPP York Lo were delighted to join the reception for Rotary International President Elect Mário César Martins de Camargo at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) today during which we heard presentations from MIT PKG Public Service Center and DEDP, two MIT organizations whose mission are closely aligned with Rotary. Thank you PDG Victor Tom and PP Sze-Wen Kuo of the Rotary Club of Bedford for organizing the event with the two groups affiliated with their beloved alma mater and hosting RIPE Mario! We look forward to working with you, the two groups and the many students and social enterprises affiliated with them for many years to come!
