YMORE Youth of Massachusetts Organizing for a Reformed Economy YMORE is a coalition of urban and suburban teens from the Boston area.

Our mission is to ensure that all youth have opportunities for success and that adequate resources are put into youth programs in Massachusetts. We represent teens from many communities, including Brookline, Dorchester, Newton, Cambridge, Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Belmont, Wayland, and Weston. The number of groups that participate in the coalition is ever-growing. We join suburban and urban hands to

gether because our future is collective, not individual. The teenagers in YMORE are committed to working together towards common goals. In building bridges with teens from different backgrounds, we find that what unites us is stronger than what divides us. We believe that working together is the best and only way to promote real change and to have a positive, lasting impact on our society.

The responsibility for law-making in Massachusetts lies with the Legislature, which is officially known as the General Court. The General Court has two branches, the House of Representatives and the Senate. Both branches work concurrently on pending legislation.
