MIT Summer Philharmonic Orchestra (MITSPO) George Ogata, MIT Class of 1992, is the founder, Music Director, and Conductor of the orchestra.

The MIT Summer Philharmonic Orchestra consists of members of the
MIT community (students, alumni/ae, faculty, and staff) and
participants from the general community. He is also the Conductor of the Longy Youth Chamber Orchestra, a program of the Preparatory Division of the Longy School of Music in Cambridge.
