One day the YWCA called the Cambridge Public Library and asked if the Library wanted these soft sculptures originally created for Filene’s Basement. Alyssa Pacy, the archivist, accepted them. It turns out these sculptures are by Barbara Ward Armstrong - a Cambridge artist and member of AAMARP (African American Master Artist Residency Program). The ICA has included these soft sculptures in their current, extraordinary exhibition on AAMARP. Recently the Foundation had the pleasure of taking our legacy donors for a private tour! With many thanks to the amazing ICA!

Look at the winners of the sticker contest!! For the past six years CRLS students in Ms. Max’s class have designed stickers for the Cambridge Public Library Foundation. We use these works of art to thank our donors who give to support the library. So much talent, creativity and vision from these students🩷! Thank you to our former board president, Shippen Page, for helping to present the awards!

With gratitude to the Curious George Fund for a $200,000 gift to support digital equity and opportunity in Cambridge at the Cambridge Public Library. This gift will support the purchasing of equipment, such as laptop and hot spots, plus trainings and staff. Since 2024 the Digital Navigator (DN) has served over 788 patrons! DNs connects patrons with a wide range of social services, including low-cost Internet providers and free or low-cost computers. This amazing program relies on donor funding! Thank you to the Curious George Fund for their generosity 🩷🙏!
