East End House offers a pipeline of services for youth age 0 to 24, with the long-term goal of having youth complete at least two years of post-secondary education or find gainful employment by age 24. We nurture individuals, families and the community to create an environment where all people can thrive. East End House is a results-based, accountability driven organization that constantly strives to assess and meet community needs.

Good dental care is an important part of helping children stay healthy and thrive.

East End House is grateful to ForsythKids of The ADA Forsyth Institute for once again visiting our programs and providing free dental exams for the children we serve.

Our partnership began in 2023, and since then, the Forsyth team has generously visited East End House two to three times each year. During their most recent visit, team members provided attentive, individualized care while making each child feel comfortable and relaxed throughout their exam. Every child also went home with a bag of dental hygiene supplies.

Partnerships like this help East End House connect children and families with important resources that support their overall health and well-being.

Don’t miss CX Summer nights!

Coming up this Thursday, Cambridge Crossing will be hosting CX Summer Nights from 5:30 - 8:30 PM. The event will feature live music, local food, craft drinks, and fun activities, and is a great opportunity for the community to come together for an evening of summer fun.

We are incredibly thankful to the CX Summer Nights team for selecting East End House as a beneficiary for the event. We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Our 2026 Block Party was a great success!

As we celebrate our organization’s 150th anniversary, we wanted to make sure this year’s Block Party would be an unforgettable event!

We were so glad to see everyone participating in the fun activities, eating the delicious homemade BBQ and snacks, and enjoying the live music and games.

A huge thank you to all our partners and patrons whose attendance and support made this event the success that it was.

A special thank you to Massachusetts State Representative Mike Connolly for joining us as well.

With just one week remaining until our final collection, we’re asking our community to help us finish strong and ensure East End House students have the supplies they need to start the school year ready to learn.

We are halfway through summer, but the fun is just heating up at East End House! ☀️

From toddlers as young as 15 months to older adults in their 90s, every day is filled with learning, discovery, and adventure.

Yesterday, our Early Learning Program enjoyed an unforgettable trip to the Stone Zoo. One of the day's highlights was the Whispering Wolf exhibit, where our children quietly watched and patiently waited for a glimpse of the Mexican gray wolves. Along the way, they explored exciting habitats and encountered snow leopards, jaguars, colobus monkeys, and many other animals - what an extraordinary learning adventure!

We are so grateful to our devoted staff who make these moments possible and show their dedication every day to the children, families, and individuals we are privileged to serve.

Say Hello to Genevive!

Genevive is the STEAM specialist here at East End House. She teaches science classes to our school age program, vastly expanding the variety of programming we can offer. She started as a volunteer and is now a paid member of our team.

Due to inclement weather tomorrow and Thursday, our 2026 Block Party has been rescheduled to Thursday, August 6th.

The party will go from 5:30 to 7:30 PM and still features the good food, fun games and exciting music that we originally planned.

All of the food and activities are provided to the public totally free of charge, so come join us next Thursday for a night of family fun!

What a gorgeous day on the Charles!

More than 50 East End House seniors enjoyed our annual Charles River Boat Cruise, spending the afternoon cruising the water, soaking in great views of the skyline, sipping on refreshments, and learning informative facts about Boston's history.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cambridgeside and The Charles River Company for making this tradition possible. Their kindness in hosting the event, providing lunch, serving refreshments, and giving a great tour of the Charles allows us to create lasting memories year after year.

We are incredibly grateful for their continued partnership and commitment to our community. Thank you for helping make Cambridge such a special place!

Our 2026 Block Party is less than a week away! Join us on July 29th from 5:30-7:30 PM for a fun-filled evening at East End House between Fifth and Sciarappa Street. The party will feature a BBQ, Italian ice, face painting, games, a moon bounce, DJ, and more.

All food and activities are provided free of charge to the public. We are offering hot dogs, burgers, and all of the food you have enjoyed at our Block Party for years. We hope you can join us!

🎒 Our 2026 Back-to-School Backpack Drive is underway!

Every child deserves to start the school year with the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed.

Last year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, East End House distributed more than 600 backpacks to children across Cambridge. In addition to supporting our own families, over 300 backpacks were shared with seven nonprofit partners, helping even more children head back to school prepared and ready to learn.

Now we're hoping to make an even bigger impact—but we need your help!
