If your young one is interested in playing ice hockey, Cambridge Youth Hockey (CYH) hosts the Bruins Academy Learn to Play at our Simoni Rink in East Cambridge. The program runs for 4 weeks @ 8 am starting on Saturday October 17th. The instruction is led by CYH coaches and is designed for 5-9 year olds who can skate some but are brand new to hockey.

Part of what makes it great is all registered kids receive a brand new full set of hockey equipment to get started. The Bruins arrange for a professional fitting so the kids have all they need on the first day and it’s perfectly fit for safety and comfort.

The Bruins have set aside this link for Cambridge Hockey friends and families to register now - https://ltpbruins.leagueapps.com/events/5057397-cambridge-youth-hockey. On Wednesday it opens to the general public and it will fill up quickly.

Kids who participate in Bruins Learn to Play generally transition into our Instructional Hockey or Learn to Play for Girls that starts up in December. Hockey is a fun sport and a great way to stay active and social in the winter. Come join the fun!

Congratulations to the PeeWee 2’s on capping off a great year with a 5-0 Championship win over Belmont. Max kept everything out of the Cambridge net with smart play by the defense and the offense and power play came up big time. Congratulations!

Was so great to see all of the growth of hockey talent and team comradely that has developed in all our squads this season. Congrats to all our coaches, players and families for a great year. A fantastic end of the season for the U12 Girls squad with a 2-0 win in the Middlesex Yankee Girls Hockey League Championship. The team supported each other all year long and got stronger individually and as a group. All that hard work paid off in Stoneham tonight. Congrats players and coaches!!

Tremendous win today for Sq**rt 3’s today. Cambridge goalie Freya stood on her head today turning away countless dangerous shots including a 2 on none breakaway with 2 minutes to go and the game on the line. This squad has battled all year and come together at the right time under Coach Guy and Coach Harper.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our final Try Hockey Day for the season. Skating is fun, but add friends and a hockey stick and it goes to the next level.

Hope these kids start their hockey journey with our teams for all levels (September), Bruins Learn to Play (October), Instructional Hockey or Learn-to-Play for Girls (both start December).

Thanks to everyone for a fantastic Learn To Skate season. It’s amazing how much all the kids progressed over the winter from that first day in December until today. We appreciate all of our phenomenal volunteers who are out there teaching and encouraging the new skaters.
