A big part of the Festival’s success comes from the programs that define it. This is where we need help from our community to fill the Festival with unique and exciting programs that invite participants to learn, grow, and explore.

This is your chance to put your own stamp on the Festival and help its attendees explore this year’s theme, _______ together. This year’s Festival is an invitation to explore what becomes possible when we come together. What can you create with someone else that you couldn’t create alone? Who has changed the way you make, think, move, cook, build, or dream? What happens when we bring our different experiences, talents, cultures, and ideas into the same room?

Our team is proud to announce the theme for Foundry Festival 2027!!!
Our theme is: "______ Together"

This Festival, explore what becomes possible when we come together! We see these moments every day: A Foundry cafe entrepreneur meets a local artist, and soon their signature drink has its own hand-designed cup, tote, and t-shirt; a woodworker meets a painter, and one chair becomes a collection; a hip-hop teacher takes the contemporary dance class after theirs, and soon those familiar faces are coming in earlier to attend both sessions.

Possibility may begin with one person, but it expands when we create together. Ideas travel, skills are shared, people find one another.

Eat together
Grow together
Dance together
Make together

🎭 CALL FOR APPLICATIONS! Pushing the Margins is The Foundry’s six-month program for local theater artists developing new work toward a staged reading at the 2027 Foundry Festival (Feb. 13–20). This year, we’re exploring TOGETHERNESS: What brings us into connection, and what becomes possible when we create, dream, struggle, celebrate, and grow together?

We have some exciting news! Cummings Foundation’s annual grant program has awarded The Foundry Consortium $225,000 over three years! 🎉🎉

Since its founding, Cummings Foundation has awarded more than $650 million to Greater Boston nonprofits, and we’re thrilled to be one of the 150 nonprofits selected this year!

This grant helps us continue to increase access to creativity, learning, and connection by supporting artists and educators and ensuring community access through workshops, classes, performances, exhibitions, workforce development opportunities, and youth programs.

Heads up- The Foundry building will be closed for regular programming for most of Tuesday, June 16 for our JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION. We’ll be open for regular programming after 4 pm.

We hope you’ll come by and celebrate with us. The celebration is free to attend and open to all, though we designed the event with seniors and families in mind so please bring a loved one or come alone. We’ll have something for everyone to enjoy!

Join us at The Foundry as we partner with Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House for our second annual Juneteenth Community Celebration on Tuesday, June 16th from 12pm - 4pm.

We’ll have free food, activities, games, and organizations from all over the area gathering to celebrate Juneteenth. This event is made with seniors and families in mind, so please bring a loved one or come alone – there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
