Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine announced our newest statewide initiative to sign up more children for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library immediately after birth!

Now, caregivers are asked if they would like to sign their newborn up for a free monthly book while completing their child’s birth certificate paperwork in the hospital. ✨

It’s simple– caregivers can check YES to sign their child up Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library’s free monthly book delivery. By signing up at birth, a child will receive the full collection of books the Imagination Library offers – 60 books in total before starting kindergarten!

Newborns have always been eligible to sign up, but through this new initiative, all newborns will have an opportunity to sign up before heading home from the hospital.

It’s never too early to introduce reading to a child! 🦋📙✨

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has gifted over 200 million books to kids across the world since 1995! Celebrate this milestone with us by enrolling your child for a monthly book (if you haven't done so already).

A new year means a new book list for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library!

Each year, the Blue Ribbon Book Selection Committee selects which books will be included in the coming year's Imagination Library collection. The first book a child receives is "The Little Engine That Could." And the month when a child turns 5, they will receive their final book, "Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!"

📢Over 50% of kids in Ohio are enrolled!

In December, we'll be mailing a free book to over 50% of Ohio's eligible kids between birth and age 5. That's 362,295 kids! We're so grateful to have so many incredible partners helping us put more books into the hands of Ohio's littlest learners.
