Last Friday we had the best time at Echoes: Pride Celebration hosted by !

Our Family Services team was there connecting with the community, meeting incredible local organizations, and spreading the word about who we are and how you can help make a difference as a foster parent.

If you saw us there, comment “hello”! And if you didn’t, come find us next weekend, we’ll be tabling at Lowell Pride on June 13 at Lowell Heritage State Park from 1-4 PM. Come say hello, learn about foster care, and celebrate with us!

Our Bridges Homeward crew took over for a 5K this past Sunday, and yes, we’re already signing up for more. The November half marathon is open to registration if you want to join and run for charity with us. Thank you to our staff for fundraising and running for those waiting for a place to belong.

Our staff don’t just work for Bridges Homeward. They run for it too. The team has been putting in the work and we are getting ready for the 5k this Sunday at ! Head to our bio and click the link to support Kate (a case specialist supporting young adults involved in DCF) and cheer us all on.

We also have some incredible people out there fundraising for us. Nina is running a half marathon and is taking on a bike challenge. Support them all through the link in our bio!

Nothing beats a day at the ballpark, especially when it’s shared with community. We want to send a huge shoutout to Safelite for giving our foster and adoptive families the chance to cheer on the Boston Red Sox this past Saturday. They all had a great time eating delicious stadium treats and creating special memories together!

Recruiting foster and adoptive parents is not something that happens overnight. It takes time, training, honest conversations, and a whole lot of heart from everyone involved.

This past Saturday, our Director of Family Services attended "Called to Care", a recruitment event hosted by Mill City Church in Lowell, MA. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with families ready to ask questions, learn more, and take the first steps toward opening their homes to a child in need. We were so moved to be in the room, and especially loved hearing from the speaker from Fostering Hope New England, as well as reconnecting with families who have already walked this journey with us. A huge thank you to Mill City Church for bringing this community together and for continuing to be such a wonderful partner in this work
