4 YEARS OF ALL4LOVE. 💙4️⃣
Four years ago, we started with 22 kids and a simple belief: Relationships can change lives.
Today, ALL4LOVE serves more than 1,000 young people across Dorchester County, with programming reaching kids from kindergarten through 12th grade and a team of 9 full-time staff committed to walking alongside them. And in four years, we've been able to do some pretty incredible things.
- We've traveled with kids across 10 states ➡️ giving young people the opportunity to see new cities, experience new cultures, visit college campuses, attend summer camps, compete nationally, and sometimes get on an airplane for the very first time. ✈️🌎
- We've built sports programs serving hundreds of kids ➡️ creating places to compete, build confidence, learn how to be part of a team, and most importantly, belong. 🏈📣
- We've mentored young people through some of the most important years of their lives ➡️ walking alongside them through school, relationships, mistakes, accomplishments, disappointments, and some really difficult moments. 🤝🏾
- We've watched young people who started with us years ago walk across the graduation stage ➡️ and had the privilege of watching kids grow into young adults right in front of us. 🎓
- We've created opportunities specifically for young women ➡️ building spaces centered around confidence, character, sisterhood, and reminding them of just how valuable they are. 🌹🌻
- We've expanded into schools across Dorchester County ➡️ allowing us to meet kids where they already are and become an even more consistent presence in their lives. 🏫
- We've purchased and activated The Warehouse ➡️ creating a home where kids can play basketball, eat, laugh, learn, hang out, have difficult conversations, or sometimes just have somewhere safe to be a kid. 🏠🏀
But when we look back at everything we've accomplished over these four years, the programs aren't what we're most proud of.
The relationships are. 💙 The moments when simply showing up mattered more than anything we could have said. We've watched little kids become teenagers and teenagers become graduates.
There is still so much work to do. There are kids we haven't reached. Families we haven't met. Stories we haven't heard. And parts of our community where we still need to show up better.
But four years later, we still believe what we believed when there were only 22 kids.
Because relationships change everything.
