🖤❤️💚 Happy Juneteenth ❤️💚🖤

Today, we celebrate freedom, resilience, culture, and the generations who refused to give up hope even in the face of unimaginable adversity.

Juneteenth is more than a moment in history, it is a reminder that freedom is worth protecting, equity is worth pursuing, and everyone’s stories deserve to be told.

As we celebrate today, may we also commit ourselves to building communities where every person feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Freedom. Hope. Progress. Sisterhood.

Happy Juneteenth from all of us at I Am My Sister. ✨

We are incredibly proud of our fellow sister, Kimberly! đź’–

Kimberly continues to show what leadership, courage, and advocacy look like by sharing her gifts and helping others better understand the world through her experiences. She represents the very best of our sisterhood, and we are honored to have her as part of the I Am My Sister family in the Glen Cove High School I Am My Sister Club .

As Kimberly prepares for another successful year, she is currently looking for a summer job opportunity. If you know of a business or organization that is hiring and would be interested in connecting with this amazing young woman, please send us a message.

Let’s help one of our sisters find an opportunity to shine this summer! ✨

đź’— The community keeps showing up. đź’—

We’re excited to share that the Glen Cove YMCA is now an official H.E.R. Box donation drop-off location!

When we launched H.E.R. Box, we knew it would take a community to make sure no girl goes without the period products she needs. Thanks to partners like the YMCA, that community continues to grow.

If you’d like to support the initiative, you can drop off:
🌸 Pads
🌸 Tampons
🌸 Pantyliners
🌸 Individually wrapped feminine wipes

Thank you to the Glen Cove YMCA for being part of this work and helping us make period dignity accessible to more girls.

đź’— Sisterhood looks like showing up. đź’—

Want to support the H.E.R. Box but not sure what to donate? We've made it easy!

We've created an Amazon Gift Registry filled with items commonly used in our H.E.R. Boxes—including pads, tampons, pantyliners, feminine wipes, and other essentials. The items on the registry are simply suggestions to make giving easier—you are not limited to what's on the list. Any brand or similar item is appreciated!

đź©· How to Give:
âś” Search Amazon Gift Registry for "I Am My Sister"
âś” Or shop directly here:

https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/1ZMV49EG902BO?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_ggr-subnav-share_Q9NBFNKYT3C17J33T6B2_1&language=en-US

Every item donated helps ensure a girl receives the essentials she needs with dignity, confidence, and the reminder that she is never alone. Through H.E.R. Box, we're building more than a care package—we're building a community of sisters who show up for one another.

📦 Because no girl should have to go without.
đź’— Because sisterhood means showing up.
🌸 Because together, we can make a difference—one box at a time.

Today, the doors officially opened to the Glen Cove High School I Am My Sister Club’s 2026 Prom Boutique! 💕

Students had the opportunity to reserve a private shopping experience to find the perfect outfit and accessories for prom. Some came with friends, some shopped on their own, and one student even shared the experience with her mom. đź©·

The boutique will be open for the next few days after school. If you’d like to reserve a shopping appointment, please see Ms. Franco (Assistant Principal).

We love seeing the culture of sisterhood that the I Am My Sister Club has helped cultivate throughout the school. It’s more than a club—it’s a community. The support, encouragement, and connection shared among the students continues to spill beyond the school walls and into the greater Glen Cove community.

🏆 Congratulations, Connolly School!

We presented the Hope N’ Motion School Showdown Trophy to Connolly for bringing out the most walkers and showing up in a big way for youth mental health. 💚

A special shoutout to Jayden, our Top Walker, who completed the most laps and received an award and gift card for his incredible effort. Jayden reminded us that one person can make a powerful impact. 👏

Thank you to the Connolly students, families, teachers, and staff for embracing this mission and helping us normalize conversations around mental health.

đź’š Keep walking. Keep talking. Keep showing up for our youth.

PASS THE CONFIDENCE CHALLENGE đź©·

Our Finley Middle School sisters accepted Pass the Confidence Challenge while spending the day at Six Flags—and they understood the assignment! 💕👏

Confidence grows when we speak it. Encouragement matters. And sometimes the words someone needs most come from another girl who simply says, “I see you. You’ve got this.”

At I Am My Sister, we’re teaching girls that confidence isn’t a competition—it’s something we share. When one sister rises, we all rise.

Now it’s YOUR turn! 💗

📱 Join the Pass the Confidence Challenge:
✨ Record a video passing a compliment, affirmation, or words of encouragement to someone else.
✨ Post it on social media.
✨ Tag us and challenge your friends to keep it going.

Let’s flood our feeds with confidence, kindness, and sisterhood.

Because confidence is contagious. đź’•

She should never have to choose between showing up and having what she needs. Period poverty is not a distant issue. It is happening right here — in our schools, in our community, among the girls we walk beside every single day.

That's why we created H.E.R. Box. Because at I Am My Sister, we don't just talk about the gaps — we fill them. With love. With intention. With action.

The Long Island Herald is sharing our story, and we are grateful — but the real story is her. The girl who can finally breathe. The girl who shows up. The girl who knows someone fought for her.

That girl is why we do this. đź©·
