This week, CEA members Beth and Amy proudly represented our members at the 2026 NEA Representative Assembly in Denver, joining more than 5,000 educators from across the country.

Together, we helped shape the future of NEA by voting on New Business Items, amendments to the Constitution, Bylaws, and Standing Rules, and electing the next NEA President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer.

The Camas Education Association is proud to celebrate our classified colleagues during Education Support Professionals week! Our ESPs do incredible work in our schools every day. They keep our schools running and support students, families, and educators in countless ways. From the classroom to the front office to transportation, nutrition, and beyond, their dedication makes a real difference for our students. We are grateful for the care, skill, and commitment they bring to our school community. Thank you to our PSE colleagues for everything you do — we appreciate you!

We’re so proud of two of our educators who traveled Olympia to advocate for students and public schools across Washington

They attended a revenue rally to push for fully funding public education, met with legislators about the needs in our communities, and connected with educators from around the state to build solidarity.

Last week the CEA handed out hundreds of treats and treasures to our kids at the Downtown Camas Association’s Boo Bash! This annual event has become a favorite place for us to see our students outside the schools and witness the joy they have recognizing their teachers outside the classroom!

We hope all the excitement of last weeks’ events has calmed as we settle into the holiday season and second quarter of the school year.

Today, our Camas President showed support for the LaCenter Education Association by attending their rally and picket line. Keynote speakers included Senator Adrian Cortes (CEA Member) and Larry Delaney, President of WEA. LCEA's current negotiations center around securing a fair contract, which is vital for maintaining quality public education. We stand united with LCEA, reaffirming our commitment to union solidarity.
