🥣 ART AUCTION SPOTLIGHT: A Celebration of Marquita

This one-of-a-kind collaboration bowl is a loving tribute to Marquita Call, bringing together the talents of artists and the memories of a loving family.

At the center, Marquita takes the spotlight, surrounded by the things that brought her joy—sangria, a tugboat representing the tugboat she owned, blooming lilacs, and a reference to “Midnight at the Oasis” by Maria Muldaur. Hand-drawn words, flowers, hearts, and playful imagery fill the bowl, creating a colorful and deeply personal portrait.

Marquita owned and operated Camas Gallery for 14 years, where she welcomed artists and visitors with warmth and enthusiasm and helped make downtown Camas a destination for art lovers. She was also the founder of the Camas Plein Air event and was recognized as Camas-Washougal’s 2021 Businessperson of the Year. Her legacy as a passionate promoter of local artists continues to shape Camas’s vibrant arts community.

This special piece is more than a work of art. It is a collaboration between artists and her loving family, transforming cherished memories and personal details into a one-of-a-kind keepsake that celebrates Marquita’s spirit and the lasting impression she made on those who knew and loved her.
