The mission of the Downtown Camas Association is the continued development of Downtown Camas into a vibrant social, cultural and economic center, seen as the heart of community life and a chosen destination for tourists. Inspired by the topography of rambling hillsides and the rhythmic pace of traffic, Emily's metal collages are a testament to the ephemeral beauty and inevitable decay that characterize our surroundings. First Friday is TONIGHT!

Downtown Camas is set to become a magical destination June 5th, from 5-8pm as the community celebrates "Unicorns, Rainbows & Mythical Beasts" during First Friday! This free, family-friendly evening will feature interactive activities, art shows, games and crafts, special treats, shopping, dining, live entertainment, and plenty of whimsical fun for all ages!

A special highlight of the evening will be the 5pm ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Mini Gallery 408 Art Gallery, located at 408 NE 4th Ave. The miniature gallery was inspired by local miniature artist Lara Blair, who envisioned a tiny traveling art gallery that could bring creativity into the community in a unique way. Working together, she and the Gallery 408 owners transformed the idea into a charming replica of the gallery. Visitors can view the miniature gallery inside Gallery 408, and it will also make appearances at local events, pop-ups, and exhibitions throughout the region!

Guests are encouraged to take part in the evening's featured passport activity, the "Unicorns, Rainbows & Mythical Beasts Sticker Scavenger Hunt." Participants can search for Otis the Ogre inside participating businesses, collect clues, and select the matching stickers to place on their passports. The more stickers collected, the greater the chances of winning themed prize baskets filled with items donated by downtown merchants.

Passports and sticker sheets will be available at the DCA tables inside the Fuel Medical lobby, and completed passports can be returned there before the end of the event.

Additional First Friday activities include:

• Search for hidden Golden Unicorns at 4Ever Growing Kids , 440 NE 4th Ave and A Beer at a Time, 216 NE 3rd Ave.

• Explore art exhibits and receptions!

• Play Mythical Beast Match and vote for your favorite fantastical creature at the DCA activity station inside the Fuel Medical lobby

• Create Mermaid Slime with the Girl Scouts

• Wear unicorn, rainbow, or mythical-creature-themed attire for extra opportunities to win prizes

• Enjoy extended shopping hours, restaurant specials, and live music throughout Downtown Camas

Bring your imagination and sense of adventure for an enchanting evening celebrating creativity, community, and all things magical!
