We raise funds through private and corporate contributions, grants, and in-kind donations to enhance the Park District.

As we welcome new visitors to our site, we’re taking a look back at some of the projects and improvements that have helped make a difference in our community.

In 2023, the Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District Foundation raised and contributed $67,000 toward the construction and development of the Nature Center at Camarillo Grove Park. Today, the Nature Center provides a space for the community to learn, explore, and enjoy the outdoors, hosting field trips, hikes, archery programs, and the Junior Ranger Program.

We’re proud to see how community support can turn an idea into a space that continues to serve local families, students, and visitors.

The Foundation for PVRP is excited to announce a $5,000 donation to the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District's Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are available to eligible low-income families, foster youth, seniors with fixed incomes, individuals with disabilities, and single parent households beginning early August!

It’s time to settle the score. The inaugural Amazing Race For the Parks is officially coming to Camarillo on Saturday, October 3rd!

We are calling out all CrossFit boxes, running clubs, local businesses, first responders, and elite groups of friends from Ventura, Oxnard, Moorpark, and Thousand Oaks. Gather your ultimate squad of 4. You will face custom, color-coded tracks of physical, mental, and creative challenges designed to test your teamwork, speed, and grit to the absolute limit.
