Meet the team that's "uplifting" transitional age youth!

For many young people who have been in foster care or are system-involved, the journey to independence can be overwhelming:
๐Ÿ”น Nearly 50% struggle with unemployment by their mid-20s
๐Ÿ”น Fewer than 3% earn a college degree
๐Ÿ”น Up to 36% experience homelessness after exiting foster care

At Casa Pacifica, we are committed to providing transitional age youth with the support, resources and guidance they need to overcome these challenges and build the foundation for a healthy and successful life.

Leading the way is our UpLIFT team, working under the direction of Christan Schuyler, Director of Transitional Youth Services.
๐Ÿ“ธ Clockwise from top:
๐Ÿ‘ Christan Schuyler
๐Ÿ‘ Mayerli Ramirez, Transition Facilitator
๐Ÿ‘ Amy Carrillo, UpLIFT Supervisor
๐Ÿ‘ Cecilia Alonso, Youth Advocate

UpLIFT (Unleashing Learning, Inspiring Futures, Fostering Transformation) provides intensive case management, peer mentorship, life skills training and personalized goal-setting to help young adults succeed in:
โœ” Employment and Career
โœ” Education
โœ” Housing Stability
โœ” Community Engagement
โœ” Personal Well-being

With a Transitional Independent Living Plan tailored to their strengths and aspirations, our youth gain the skills and confidence to create lasting stability.

At Casa Pacifica, we are deeply committed to walking alongside transitional age youth as they step into adulthood. We believe in their potential, stand by them in times of uncertainty, and celebrate every milestone on their journey to independence.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our Transitional Youth Services, donโ€™t hesitate to reach out! Contact us at 805-366-4150.
