For anyone available and able, the American Red Cross of Ventura County is hosting their annual Ride for the Red event! Ride for the Red was created by passionate, local volunteers eager to share the story and history of the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces. The Red Cross helps members of the military, veterans, and their families prepare for, cope with, and respond to, the challenges of military service. Since 9/11, the Red Cross has served more than 1 million military families. The Red Cross is the only military service organization that supports military families from the day they enlist through their time as a veteran.

Volunteering at this event is rewarding as some of the participants are active duty, veterans, and/or military spouses/family. Shifts varies in time and positions varies on the timeslot! Ranging from set up to rest stops to clean up with times ranging from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We wanted to let you guys know that we'll be having a small service event this Friday, February 19, 2021, from 7 - 8 PM!!! We'll be using a site called Plant The Peace where a tree gets planted for every 10 trivia questions you get correct! So if you're available and want to get an hour of service in, or just hang out, feel free to stop by! We hope to see you there!!!
