inations are now open for the 2017 Legacy Awards! Do you know an outstanding CI student or student organization? Nominate them for an award TODAY by visiting the Legacy Awards website.
Hosted through a collaboration between Associated Students Inc. and Student Leadership Programs, The Legacy Awards: A Celebration of Leadership is CI's premiere recognition of students, student organizations, faculty, staff and administrators who live the University mission through a commitment to student-centeredness, service, community and individual development.
Recognition Categories for the Legacy Awards include:
• Maximus Award (student, faculty, administrator or staff)
• Outstanding First Year Student Leader Award
• Outstanding Sophomore Student Leader Award
• Outstanding Junior Student Leader Award
• Dr. Richard R. Rush Outstanding Senior Student Leader Award
• Outstanding Graduate or Credential Student Leader Award
• Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award
• Outstanding Student Organization Award
• Outstanding Student Group Award
We would also appreciate it if you could help us spread the word about nominations. Last year, 151 nominations were submitted for the Legacy Awards. Let’s work together to exceed that number for 2017!
Here are three ways you can help:
1. Submit a nomination for a student or student organization! Nominate at http://asi.csuci.edu/legacyawards.htm.
2. Post the attached images for Facebook and Instagram to your area's social media at least 3 times between now and March 1. The Facebook image contains more detailed information about the awards and the Instagram image works as a great teaser.

3. In your meetings with students, staff or faculty, encourage others to nominate! We have postcards in the ASI office if you would like to pick some up to pass around. We will also be distributing postcards to various centers around campus.
