Ventura County VOAD

Ventura County VOAD VCVOAD coordinates nonprofits, faith based orgs and philanthropy before, when & after disaster hits. We form partnership during the disaster \response.

The VCVOAD is intended to be a networking of organizations active in disaster. Each member of the VCVOAD will maintain its own identity and independence while closely collaborating with other VCVOAD member organizations, interfaith groups, and local, state, and/or federal authorities. The VCVOAD is not a competing or exclusionary organization. The VCVOAD is a membership organization and is reco

gnized as the local VOAD for Ventura County under the Guidelines of the Southern California Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (SCVOAD). The VCVOAD accomplishes its mission by adhering to the following principles:
Cooperation: Foster cooperation among VCVOAD member organizations at all levels and in all phases of disaster. Coordination: Coordinate the development of VCVOAD policies and procedures, and the implementation of services among VCVOAD member organizations. VCVOAD may also provide links to State and National disaster relief organizations. VCVOAD serves as advocate and liaison between member agencies and Office of Emergency Services (OES) and the disaster Incident Commander (IC) and other agencies. Communications: Exchange and disseminate information among VCVOAD member organizations, as well as local, state and federal agencies, in conjunction with the individual VCVOAD members. Collaboration: We dedicate ourselves to work together to achieve specific goals and to undertake specific projects at disaster sites.
