Graduation day is one of our favorite days of the year—because every diploma represents a hard-earned achievement.

Today, thirteen students from our Non-Public School crossed the graduation stage, the largest graduating class in Casa Pacifica's history.

For many, the road to this moment was not an easy one.

Some arrived at Casa Pacifica feeling depressed or unseen. Others struggled to imagine a future beyond the challenges they faced. With support, and their own resilience, they kept moving forward—step by step, day by day.

Today, they celebrated a milestone that once may have seemed out of reach.

Their success is a testament not only to their perseverance, but also to the power of a community that believes in them.

To our dedicated teachers, aides, therapists, and administrative staff: thank you for helping our students discover their strengths, overcome obstacles and reach this moment. Your commitment changes lives every day.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. Your story is only beginning, and we cannot wait to see where life takes you next! ❤️

🌈June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate and recognize the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community.

Research shows that LGBTQ+ youth are at significantly higher risk for suicidal thoughts and behaviors than their heterosexual peers. This increased risk is not because of their sexual orientation or gender identity, but rather the stigma, discrimination, rejection, and other challenges they may face.

At Casa Pacifica, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all youth feel safe, supported, respected, and valued for who they are.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available:
💜 Call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
💜 Contact The Trevor Project by calling 1-866-488-7386 or texting START to 678-678

You are not alone.

At Casa Pacifica, our incredible staff are the heart of everything we do! Today, we are excited to spotlight Laura Recio, Parent Partner in our Wraparound program, and her contributions to our mission.

When asked what she loves most about her role at Casa Pacifica, Laura shares:

"I enjoy working at Casa Pacifica because it allows me to utilize my skills to support families and empower them to advocate for themselves. My personal experience advocating for my own family has strengthened my ability to support the families I serve. I believe Casa Pacifica is a great organization to work for, as I feel well-supported by my program manager and supervisors. I also greatly value the guidance and mentorship of my lead, Polly, whose knowledge and experience continue to support my professional growth. I am grateful to be part of a team that is dedicated to helping families succeed!"

Laura’s passion for helping families feel supported and empowered shines through in everything she does. Thank you, Laura, for the positive impact you make each day!

Donor support in action! 💙

Construction continues to move forward with our Transitional Youth Services project. We’re excited to share one of the latest additions: newly installed playground equipment for young adults with children!

This new play area will create opportunities for families to spend quality time together, encourage healthy activity and help young parents build meaningful moments with their children right at home.

Additional upgrades are also on the way, including gathering spaces, a sports court, barbecue/patio area, pet relief area and quiet reflection space.

We’re so grateful to The Balay Ko Foundation for the support that made this project possible, and look forward to sharing more progress updates as the space comes to life!

We love being out in the community connecting with students and talking about youth mental health!

Our team recently attended Pioneer Valley High School’s Resource Fair, where students stopped by to learn more about coping skills, mental wellness, and the support available through Casa Pacifica and our Camino a Casa program.

Our prize wheel was a hit! Students earned a spin by sharing a healthy coping skill, sparking great conversations about ways to manage stress and take care of their mental health.

Thank you to Pioneer Valley High School for welcoming us and creating space for these important conversations!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Youth mental health continues to be one of the greatest challenges facing our community. Every day, children and youth struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, and uncertainty. They deserve care, understanding, and support.

At Casa Pacifica, we show up for them. Each year, we provide vital mental health services to more than 2,000 children, young adults, and families.

Because mental health care changes — and saves — lives.

Hi friends, I’m Macy!

I might not wear a name badge, but I’m proud to be part of the Casa Pacifica team. My job? Snuggles, tail wags, and making tough days a little brighter.

Whether I’m sitting beside a youth who needs comfort or greeting friends around campus, I’m here to remind everyone they’re loved and never alone.

Being a therapy dog is the best job ever!

Once a year, we gather as the Casa Pacifica family to celebrate the incredible people who make our work possible. It’s one of our favorite traditions: a time to reconnect and recognize excellence across our agency.

Every department plays a vital role in supporting the youth and families we serve. It truly takes all of us.

With that spirit, we are delighted to announce our Employees of the Year:

🏆 Campus Programs: Nicole Anderson, Care Coordinator
🏆 Campus Administrative: Michael Forino, IT Operations Manager
🏆 Non-Public School: Jesus Landeros, Special Education 1:1 Aide
🏆 Ventura Services: John Pineda, Program Manager, Therapeutic Behavioral Services
🏆 Santa Barbara County Services: Kristy Chavez, Clinical Supervisor I

Each of these outstanding team members leads with the values at the heart of Casa Pacifica — respect, integrity, compassion and courage. Their enduring commitment to our youth and families inspire all of us, and we are so proud to celebrate them and the entire Casa Pacifica team!
