Camino a Casa by Casa Pacifica

Camino a Casa by Casa Pacifica Specialized mental health care for teens ages 12–17 who are struggling with emotional challenges or risky behaviors. In network with most providers.

Our goal is to help youth thrive at home, school, and in the community. Casa Pacifica is a leading provider of children’s mental health services in California with a focus on the Central Coast. Though Casa Pacifica has served children and youth in the foster care and education systems since 1994, four years ago we opened our doors to clients with private insurance. Called Camino a Casa (the road h

ome) this program offers Casa Pacifica’s clinical expertise and experience treating children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues to the community at large. A full range of behavioral health care has been designed to address the needs of children and youth from ages nine through 17 and their families. Intensive residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and in-home behavioral services comprise Camino a Casa’s continuum of care.

Nothing spells fun like our annual Color Run! This non-competitive race brings joy (and lots of color!) to the Casa Pacifica campus. Many thanks to our youth for putting their best foot forward and to our dedicated staff who amazed us with their energy and color blasting skills, once again!

Hi friends, I’m Macy!

I might not wear a name badge, but I’m proud to be part of the Casa Pacifica team. My job? Snuggles, tail wags, and making tough days a little brighter.

Whether I’m sitting beside a youth who needs comfort or greeting friends around campus, I’m here to remind everyone they’re loved and never alone.

Being a therapy dog is the best job ever!

It’s Strawberry Festival Week! 🍓

Our cottages turned into test kitchens as the kids whipped up their own “berry” creative strawberry recipes including strawberry cheesecake, chocolate covered strawberries and strawberry ice cream. We loved seeing their teamwork and confidence. And sampling their tasty creations wasn't too bad, either!

Every day we see that mothering is more than a role; it is an act of care that can come from many hands and many hearts.

It shows up in a teacher's patient listening, a caregiver’s steady presence, a volunteer’s warm encouragement, and a community’s belief that every young person deserves safety, dignity, and hope.

Today, we celebrate all who offer that kind of love. Those who nurture, guide, and walk alongside our youth as they heal and grow. Your compassion helps create a sense of home and a foundation of hope that lasts far beyond a single moment.

Happy Mother’s Day to all who mother in every meaningful way!

When your teen needs consistent support but is ready to stay engaged in school and home life, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) can help.

This half-day program provides focused therapeutic care while teens continue living at home and attending school. With an emphasis on DBT skills, emotional regulation, and healthy coping strategies, we help teens navigate challenges and build tools they can use every day.

We also partner with families to support lasting progress at home.

This National Nurses Week, we’re celebrating the heart of our health clinic: our incredible nurses!

Every day, they provide skilled, compassionate care to the youth we serve, tending not just to physical health needs, but offering comfort and support during difficult moments.

We are so grateful for their dedication, professionalism, and the calm presence they bring to our campus.

Love nurses too? Leave a comment and thank them for the difference they make every day!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a reminder that mental health matters every day, especially for young people.

Su***de remains a leading cause of death for adolescents and young adults ages 10–24, underscoring the urgent need for awareness, connection, and care.

At Camino a Casa, we see how early support and compassionate intervention can change the path of a young life. Speaking up, checking in, and listening can make a real difference.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available—you are not alone.
