For 33 years, we’ve woven human-centered care, evidence-based practices, and trauma-informed expertise into the lives of more than 15,000 children and families across DC, Mar

yland, and Virginia. Understanding every path is unique, we support family growth and strengthening through education and counseling, infant adoption options, foster care adoption, family-finding, home studies and post-placements, professional and organizational training, and community outreach and support programming. Last month, members of our team had the opportunity to present at the National Council For Adoption’s 2026 National Adoption Conference, sharing their expertise and learning alongside adoption professionals from across the country.

Meshan led a session on Post Adoption Contact Agreements and Pam and Amy led a session on Cultural Humility in Infant Adoption. These are two topics that reflect our commitment to ethical adoption practices, and helped spark meaningful conversations about how adoption professionals can better support birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive families.

Meet Prynceton with today's Feature! 💜

Prynceton is a bright, curious, and energetic teenage boy who brings a spark of creativity and warmth wherever he goes. He has a natural curiosity about the world and loves to ask questions. Whether he’s building imaginative worlds in Minecraft or playing games on his Nintendo Switch, Prynceton is happiest when he’s engaged and using his hands to create.

Those who know Prynceton describe him as affectionate, inquisitive, friendly, and full of energy. He thrives on positive attention and enjoys connecting with others. He has a playful spirit and a big heart, and he’s learning every day how to express his emotions in healthy, constructive ways.

Meet Carmello with today's Feature! 💜

Carmello is a sweet teen known for his kind nature and bringing joy to everyone around him. Whether he’s spending time with peers, teachers, or support staff, Carmello’s friendly and gentle personality shines through.

Meet Mahogany with today's Feature! 💜

Mahogany is a joyful and resilient four-year-old with a radiant smile that lights up every room.

Currently enrolled in Pre-K, Mahogany enjoys connecting with her peers and participates in classroom routines with one-on-one support. She’s making big strides developmentally, recently learning to walk with the help of a walker and leg splints. Mahogany expresses herself through touch, facial expressions, and gentle sounds, and she loves sensory play, hugs, and gazing out the window.
