Copper Country Associated Artists CCAA is based in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in the historic village of Calumet.

We are a community based art organization, encouraging artistic expression and helping artists to market their products through the CCAA Gallery in Calumet and the Eagle Harbor Art Fair. Tonight's the night!!

Friday, June 5th...Join us, from 6-8pm at the Copper Country Associated Artists Gallery at 117 5th Street in Calumet for our monthly First Friday night of fun, art and creativity!

Along with a wonderful evening of art, we invite everyone to create their own beautiful nightlight using special glass paints on a sweet little glass votive cup. What a way to light up the night in June!!

Only a few spots left in Brenda Ochodnicky's exciting new "Pastel for Beginner's" workshop on Thursday, June11th from 1-4pm at the Copper Country Associated Artists Gallery in Calumet!

Soft Pastel is such a beautiful, vibrant medium that's portable enough to take anywhere! You can create amazing art with just your fingertips and your imagination...on the beach, in the Park, at your kitchen table with no water or brushes needed.

Brenda will guide you through all the essentials of how to use Pastel, and then you'll work on your very own pastel art piece.

All supplies are included in your $75 class tuition PLUS a FREE bag of goodies supplied by the instructor to allow you to continue exploring pastels at home. Brenda also wants her students to know that if they already have soft pastels, they are welcome to bring them to class, if they wish.

Wow!! Check out all the amazing events happening at the Copper Country Associated Artists Gallery!

First, this Friday, June 5th, 2026, from 6-8pm, we have our monthly First Friday artwalk at the gallery. Join us for an evening of fun, art AND a FREE hands-on on art project for the whole family.

Then, on Sunday, June 7th from 12-2pm...Donna Lenard is back with "Dramatic Skies in Watercolor". If you've always dreamed of painting skies that are the "star" of the show, this is the workshop for you!

On Thursday, June 11th, from 1-4pm, join the award winning Brenda Ochodnicky for an amazing "Pastels for Beginners" workshop. Brenda's informative and interactive workshop will take you through all the basics, while guiding you through a soft pastel artwork of your very own! Your $75 tuition for this workshop includes all supplies PLUS a goodie bag to let you create again when you get home! Hurry and register...only 10 spots for this engaging class.

And finally, on June 19th from 6-8pm, a unique new workshop, "Create Through Sound: Applied Chromesthesia" from the talented duo of Donna and Esmeralda. Hi to all our Facebook friends AND fellow art lovers!! Here's a real treat you don't want to miss at a gallery just steps away from our own!

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 30th from 10am to 3pm, our friends over at the Gallery On 5th are having a one of a kind "Orphan Art Sale"!

Over the years that they've run their wonderful gallery...Artists often move on, stop making their art, retire or just leave behind artwork that they no longer want. After searching diligently for the owners of these "orphaned works" with no success and with limited space to store these beauties...they are ready to let them go to a new home to be loved and admired!

If you love art, and love a great deal, you owe it to yourself to check out this amazing event!!

Here's what they said about their event...in their own words:
After 20 years of a gallery (Gallery on 5th) at this location with various owners, we have “orphan art”. We had two of our teenage employees scour the internet to find the creators of these orphan pieces. They found a few.
Art is created to be loved and hiding in our back room is not where they belong. We want them to be adopted by you! So Saturday, May 30 we are hosting a Sidewalk sale 10am- 3pm with prices dropping as inventory decreases. Cash preferred but credit can be used with a 5% fee.

(Just try not to get there before me!!! LOL!!) See you there!

Looking for some wonderful creative fun?!

We have just the thing for you at the Copper Country Associated Artists Gallery for you coming up this next week!

First, a beautiful and relaxing watercolor workshop with the charming Donna Lenard this Sunday, May 10th from 12-2pm! Paint a lovely watercolor forest scene that you'll be proud to frame and hang on your wall.

Then, on Saturday, May 16th from 12-3pm, the talented Pam Hansen returns with a beading workshop that's sure to entice the heart of any jewelry and beading enthusiast! Join Pam for a day of "Daisy chain" beading to create an adorable necklace or bracelet sure to delight any jewelry fan!
