Namaste everyone and welcome to another monthly update. As the climate heats up we have had lots of progress on our Smauses (small houses), as well as good consistent development in many of our farm areas.

As you will see in the attached photo gallery, one smaus is very much up and in the process of being dried in. The other 'feminine ray' smaus was mostly framed yesterday June 2nd, with straw panels framed in with a first coat of plaster on them, and roof trusses in place. Remember that these two identical buildings are being assembled by Natural Resource Construction using straw bale insulation--a natural material that includes much less carbon emissions than usual methods of insulation.

These buildings will also be plastered on the inside using earth plaster, which will be done in two stages: rough plaster and finish plaster. This will happen during two Ashram events, on the 13th and 27th of June. This will be a great opportunity to learn about natural building and/or visit the ashram. Visit our 'events' tab on Facebook or our website for more details.

Additionally, due to budget and labor concerns, we have decided to delay final construction of one of the smauses, the 'masculine ray' smaus. Preliminarily, our goal is to finish it in spring next year.

We are also building an indoor laundry and shower facility. It will be a 12' x 18' structure and will be built out of cinderblock, with proper insulation for year round use. Construction will begin this month with the pouring of a slab.

Speaking of plaster, we got to experiment with colored exterior finish plaster on the south wall of Saucha and Gudu's house. Fun fact: colored lime plaster is what the Sistine Chapel ceiling is made of.

Our silvopasture work has continued with even more mulching! That means that over many weekends from Fall '25 to now, we have mulched almost every tree in the silvopasture with a burlap sack and hardwood wood chips. This effort involves everyone who is a community member, and is very important for the short and long-term health of our trees. As I continued our summer mowing yesterday, it was great to see almost no dead or struggling trees, with lots of new growth after around 2 weeks of heavy rain.

Our vegetable garden has also been producing lots of food for us during this time. The eight people on the ground are consistently eating all of our leafy greens from our garden, due to great stewardship from Adhii and continual harvesting and processing of the veggies by Vishada. Vishada also harvested hundreds of Goumis on Saturday from our Goumi shrub, and will be making jam from them soon. A great window into future years at Hiranyagarbha Yuga Ashram.

Finally, we have expanded our chicken flock with ten more chickens. They are being quarantined behind the Ajna Cabin for now, just in case any of them have any diseases, and will be introduced to the existing flock on Tuesday. Because we had a few chicken deaths we decided to add to our flock which brings us to 15 chickens and 9 ducks.

Thanks to everyone for reading, and don't forget to check out our Plaster Weekend events.

Namaste'

MALA-46-Self Love:
Love yourself enough to do the right thing. Love yourself enough to admit your faults. Love yourself enough to sincerely repent. Love yourself enough so you can better love the Divine in others.
MALA-47-Letting Go
Serenity is the reward of letting go. Being able to let go is the reward of diligent Faith and Devotion.
MALA-48-Meditation:
Meditation is the receptive mode; prayer is the petitioning and/or gratitude mode. Be always in both and always be in the flow. Then life is meditation and meditation is life.

Hello everyone! April has been full of fun, excitement, and adventure thus far. We have begun our 'Spring Resurgence' quarter of activity, welcomed many visitors, and accomplished many work projects.

Most vital of all has been our work on the two 'smouses.' They both have a foundation and floor now, and straw panels are being fabricated by Natural Resource Construction. They will be ready and installed within a month.

Bhati's family visited during our Tree Mulching Weekend. We mulched hundreds of trees, and we were grateful for all the support from various visitors. The mulch, along with a burlap sack around the tree, prevents weeds, retains moisture, and, as it decomposes, provides nutrients to the soil, like compost. Sama's cousin also visited for a few nights, our brother Hridaya visited for a week, and Vishada's father visited for about two days. We always Love visitors.

We have done a good bit of work in our garden. We planted many starts, (baby plants) that are leafy greens around the end of March, and installed drip tape to water them. We also cover cropped the garden beds that we aren't using for growing right now.

The Ajna cabin, which has always had a random and unintentional landscape around it, is finally being landscaped by Bhati, Jitvara, and Adhii (who live in it). They have planted a flower bed out front, and have done lots of grading with our mini excavator.

A huge project has been mowing a very hilly area above our main road. It is a tricky, though not impossible, area to access with the tractor, so we did not prioritize it in previous years. It has felt great to do some maintenance so that the area will not become so dense that it cannot be mowed in the future.

Saucha and Gudu have added two small decks to their house, which is inching closer and closer to completion. They also added some outside string lights.

Finally, in keeping with the theme of Spring Resurgence, the ducks have begun laying eggs! They, along with the chickens, have been a very fun way to begin the farming momentum that will ramp up in later years.

Thank you all for reading. Namaste.

MALA-67-Desire and Truth:
The world is frustrating because of desire. The world is frustrating because people block Divinity by asserting their way over truth. They who do, do so only for awhile, then fail. They cause pain and harm to others only for awhile, then fall. This is the fallen nature of the world. It is up to the True Divine Seekers not to succumb to the effects of the fallen momentums, but to rise above, transcend and transmute them so at least they, and hopefully a few others, may obtain liberation every generation or so. - Satguruyogiprabhu

Heavenhi All. Here is an update of what's been going on for the last month:

It was frigidly cold for most of February, so not much physical work has been done, as compared to our usual pace. However, our largest physical development has been the beginning of construction on our 'Smauses' (small houses). They are both 22'x24', and very near the Ajna cabin and the showers not far from the pond.

In addition, we spent a day amending our garden by broadforking it and spreading manure. It was important to capitalize on a warm day so that our implements could pierce the ground. If it is too cold, it's impossible to dig.

On the 7th of March, we had our first tree planting of this spring. We planted 40 trees with very good genetics, which will produce lots of nuts for us in the future. They were purchased last year using grant money.

The white cabin floor has been fixed and screens have been added to the two front windows of the Ajna cabin.

Our Ducks are thriving and loving our pond and Geese have been stopping by during their migration.

Finally, Sama has officially moved in! He has remodeled the "Mani" yellow cabin for himself. It has been wonderful to have him around.

Thank you all for reading. Namaste'

MALA-38-God:
Oh Glowing Omnipresent Magnificence, thou are truly God, for thou care enough for us to take on human form once more to help Heal and Balance world karma. Truth surely pours out of thyself to teach your children how to become proper adults. May all come to know and follow you, who loves so much.

MALA-81-Living:
A former avatar of the Vishnu station said, “The manner in which one lives is more important than the standard."
My purport on his statement:
Accumulation can accumulate one into bo***ge. Fulfill yourself with love, fulfill yourself with the Divine. Allow the blessings to flow to and fro for your Soul Evolution. Possess the Divine wholeheartedly and all contentment is yours. Possess the Divine half-heartedly and half is yours, it's up to you.

Heavenhi All! I'm here to update you all on what's been going on at Hiranyagarbha Yuga Ashram, halfway through the winter. We have some important updates to our organization and plans as well as lots of things that have been happening on the ground.

Much of our recent development involves Sama Atmashakti Ananda, our president, pictured below. Sama is permanently moving to the Ashram in about a week, and plans to dedicate a lot more time to securing more funding for us through grants and donations. He also brought all of us together to contribute to our first annual report, published around the end of the year. It details our mission, history, and future plans in a concise 17 page document. If you would like to read it, the link is here:

There are big plans for 2026! Sama will make the 8th person living full-time at the Ashram. However, by the end of 2026 we plan to have 13 or 14 people living here. This will bring us to the end of Stage 1 of our development. We will need more places for these people to stay, so we are constructing 2 500-square foot cabins, as well as a communal laundry facility.

HYA's mission continues to be to create an environment where soul evolution and a love based way of life are taught and embodied. This means taking people in, regardless of starting point, and aiding them in growth and healing so they may move out of survival/suffering, and into the blossoming and thriving that is each person’s potential.

In terms of on the ground developments, in mid-December we held a second fall tree planing, which was smaller in attendance. We planted around 30 trees. Twenty Yellowbud Hickories and ten Shellbark Hickories. They will be big producers of nuts for us in the future. This was our final big weekend of work for the year, and we have since hunkered down for the winter.

In addition to a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas, we have been experiencing a thorough Snowmageddon, along with everyone else. As I write this, it's currently heavily snowing for perhaps the 5th or 6th time in two weeks. We have experienced this every winter in which there have been full-time residents, of which this is the 5th. Each year, we have a little more facilities and amenities to make us more comfortable. We are grateful for the opportunity to relate head-on with the elements and for the whittling of the ego that it brings.

Finally, we offer a thorough congratulations to Jitvara Asmad Kartavya Ananda, A.K.A. Devan Eilbert for obtaining his spiritual name on January 15, right around his birthday. We held a ceremony for him up in Jnanda's house. His name means:

Jitvara – Overcoming
Asmad – Ego
Kartavya – Duty
Ananda - Bliss

What is soul evolution? Why is it important?
How HYA aids people who reside here.

Soul evolution is why we are here. Soul evolution deals with growth on all levels and aspects of a being.

THE FIAT OF CREATION IS GROWTH.

While we are involved with having a physical body, it is important that we come to the realization that we are not our bodies.

I AM SPIRIT. I HAVE MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, and PHYSICAL BODIES.

We, as spiritual beings have mental, emotional, and physical bodies, which all grow and develop. We also have a spiritual body that can grow and develop.

Soul evolution deals with the growth of the soul and also the four lower bodies, so one learns to transcend the effects of this plane of existence, thus living a more centrist life of more Divine Love.

Dwelling in the monality of love away from the dualistic aspects of this planet’s love and fear dichotomy is necessary for and is the path of growth and liberation.

Everything on this planet goes through the cycles of
Creation, Preservation, and Destruction.

The choice in what direction one grows/evolves or devolves is up to the individual.

Jnana yoga (one of the four yogas of life) addresses that choice. This is where soul evolutionary data comes into play. Soul evolutionary data aids a person in seeing more clearly the path forward. What needs to be done? What can be done? What tools can be used to aid a person in soul evolution?

Here at HYA we learn about and implement the four main yogas of life which aid a person in soul evolution. We teach a Bhakti- Karma yoga blend, which is devotion with Divine action, Jnana yoga, discernment/introspection, and Raja yoga, spiritual practices. This is done through application of the four main yogas which brings about understanding. This application aids a person in better personal development and spiritual, mental, emotional maturity.

Soul evolution is the highest form of healing!

I say this because sooner or later we all drop our physical bodies and go to another plane of existence.

By practicing Spiritual disciplines and developing Spiritual momentum we can then break the transitory cycles of birth and rebirth and obtain Moksha/Liberation. Thus, dwelling in less fear and more Divine Love.
