🚨 PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT – CALISTOGA CERT 🚨

⚠️ PG&E has issued a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Watch for portions of the Calistoga area due to forecasted elevated fire weather conditions.

Current Estimated Timeline:
πŸ”Œ Power Shutoff Begins: June 10, 2026, between 9:15 PM and 10:00 PM PDT
πŸ’‘ Estimated Power Restoration: June 11, 2026, by 4:00 PM PDT

The map below highlights areas currently identified by PG&E as potentially affected by the PSPS event. These areas are subject to change as weather conditions evolve.

Be Prepared:

βœ… Charge phones, batteries, and medical devices now.
βœ… Fuel vehicles and generators safely.
βœ… Have flashlights and extra batteries available.
βœ… Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible.
βœ… Review your family emergency plan and communication plan.
βœ… Check on neighbors, seniors, and those with access and functional needs.

πŸ”₯ Prescribed Burn Notice – June 9, 2026 πŸ”₯

Sonoma Land Trust and CAL FIRE Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit plan to conduct a 95-acre prescribed burn at Live Oaks Ranch Preserve in Knights Valley on Tuesday, June 9, beginning as early as 9:00 a.m.

This carefully managed burn is part of ongoing efforts to improve forest health, reduce wildfire risk, and build community resilience following the 2017 Tubbs Fire.
Smoke may be visible from Calistoga and along Highway 128. If you see smoke from this planned burn, please do not call 911.

️HEADS UP, CALISTOGA!

Calistoga Fire Department will be teaming up with CHP Air Operations for a collaborative training exercise this Tuesday, May 5th and Wednesday, May 6th!

The CHP helicopter will be using the fairgrounds as a landing zone, with multiple flights expected throughout both days.

If you see or hear low-flying helicopter activity near the fairgrounds β€” don't be alarmed. Our firefighters and CHP officers are hard at work training together to better serve and protect our community.
