Many of the most meaningful moments in our residential program also happen to be the most fun!

We were delighted to welcome Miss Kentucky, Ariana Rodriguez, to Holly Hill for a memorable “Trashion Show.” The challenge was to transform everyday items into runway-ready fashion, and, as you can see, trash bags featured prominently!

There was plenty of creativity, some surprisingly impressive design work, and lots of laughter before everyone took to the runway to show off their creations.

Ariana’s visit was especially meaningful because she experienced foster care herself. She has transformed that experience into advocacy, including founding The Lucky Ones Foundation to support young people in foster care and amplify their voices.

The photos capture what made the day so special: Ariana and our girls creating together, our team joining in, and plenty of joy and laughter along the way.

Thank you, Ariana, for showing up so authentically, joining in the fun, and creating such a memorable experience for the young people we serve.

Some of our Holly Hill leadership team and their families enjoyed a great night at the Cincinnati Redsgame this week. It was a fun opportunity to connect outside of work, spend time with family, and enjoy a summer evening together.

Holly Hill was privileged to participate in the Bags of Hope event with the Kentucky General Assembly yesterday.

Representatives from across our Commonwealth of Kentucky took time out of their day to come together for this special community effort, assembling care and support kits for children in Kentucky’s foster care system. These small acts of care make an incredible difference for young people navigating transition and uncertainty.

The event was an initiative of The Lucky Ones Foundation, founded by current Miss Kentucky Ariana Rodriguez, whose leadership and commitment to children and families continues to inspire collaboration across the state.

Our CEO, James Sherry, along with other Kentucky Children’s Alliance board members, was excited to participate and represent Holly Hill in this important work.

Thank you to all the legislators Samara Heavrin, Mike Clines, State Representative - District 68, Shelley Funke Frommeyer, partners, and volunteers who showed up to support Kentucky’s children.
