Can anyone save his life?
Please keep sharing and caring about Chopper 🥺 He just had surgery to remove a growth from his neck and is healing nicely. A shelter is no place for a senior dog, especially one that just had surgery. Volunteers have fallen in love with this gentle soul❤️
He is a sweet 12 year old German Shepherd who has been waiting a long time at the shelter! We hoped he could find a home with his chihuahua fur sibling Alice(whom he loved) but no one came forward to adopt them together, Alice has found her forever home but now it is Chopper’s turn 🙏🏻
Chopper is smart, friendly, obedient, and walks nicely on a leash. He seemed to love his fur sibling, whom he lived with for many years, but we are not sure how he feels about other large dogs - during his play group evaluation he did not seem to like the younger dogs who were trying to play with him.
Chopper is such a good boy and does not understand why he has lost all that is familiar to him. He deserves to live out his golden years surrounded by the warmth of a loving family. Please let’s not keep Chopper waiting any longer!
