🖤
The curtain falls on a titan of world cinema.
Bahram Beyzaie (1938–2025) has passed away. A visionary playwright, filmmaker, and scholar, Beyzaie was a thinker who fundamentally reshaped Persian myth, history, and language through his art.
His masterpieces did more than tell stories; they redefined the “female gaze” in Iranian cinema and challenged the roots of national identity. From the stage to the screen, his voice remained a steadfast force of intellectual resistance—uncompromising, poetic, and profound.
Legends do not disappear; they transform into the eternal fabric of our culture. His legacy will continue to guide every artist who seeks truth in the shadows of history.
Rest in Power, Master.
