The Hemet Woman’s Club shares:
Our members really had a meaningful and enjoyable visit to Michelles' Place. Donations of wigs and personal items were very appreciated by the Michelle's Place team and our members left with heartfelt stories and respect for this wonderful organization.

💗 WOMAN’S CLUB OF VISTA GFWC

When we say Living the Volunteer Spirit, the Woman’s Club of Vista shows us exactly what that looks like.

These women don’t just support their community — they roll up their sleeves and get to work.

🍼 Through Covers of Love, members make fleece baby blankets and crocheted hats for new mothers receiving newborn care through Vista Community Clinic.

📚 Bubbles & Books puts children’s books in English and Spanish into local laundromats, making reading accessible in an unexpected place.

🥫 Members volunteer with the North County Food Bank, sorting and packing food, including food for children’s weekend backpacks.

🇺🇸 They support Foundation for Women Warriors, helping women veterans and their children with needed baby supplies and hands-on service.

🏠 With Operation HOPE North County, members serve meals and help families and individuals working toward stability after homelessness.

🐕 They support K9 Guardians and participate in community projects benefiting children and families.

🌲 Through Penny Pines, they help restore forests devastated by wildfires.

🌺 Members volunteer at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens, supporting conservation and environmental education.

💜 They raise awareness about domestic violence and human trafficking and stand with those who need a voice.

🎓 And they invest in the future by providing scholarships to students from six Vista-area high schools.

This is community service.

It isn’t one project. It isn’t one donation. It is women looking around their community, discovering where they are needed and saying:

“We can help.”

World Humanitarian Day
There is a saying that goes: It takes a village to raise a child. Similarly, it takes a village to support a person in a humanitarian crisis. With record-high humanitarian needs around the world, this year’s World Humanitarian Day (WHD) builds on this metaphor of collective endeavor to grow global appreciation of humanitarian work.
Whenever and wherever people are in need, there are others who help them. They are the affected people themselves – always first to respond when disaster strikes – and a global community that supports them as they recover. Far from the spotlight and out of the headlines, they come together to ease suffering and bring hope.

🏆 BUCKLES = ACHIEVEMENT (Membership and building)
Clubs and members will have opportunities to earn recognition throughout the campaign for membership growth, member engagement, leadership development, and outstanding service.

❤️ BELONGING = CONNECTION (Leadership and Education)
The heart of this campaign is creating a welcoming environment where every member feels valued, included, and appreciated. We want every member—from our newest recruit to our most seasoned volunteer—to know they have a place in our SGVD family.

Members of GFWC CFWC The Maywood Woman's Club busily sewing through the summer making Christmas gifts to be delivered at Christmastime to the homebound in Corning CA. The Chula Vista Woman’s Club shares:

🏖️🌺 What a fantastic afternoon at our Membership Beach Bingo! ⛱️☀️

🏖️Our clubhouse was filled with laughter, friendly competition, and plenty of summer fun as we welcomed members and guests during our summer break. A huge thank you to our Membership Committee for creating such a festive beach-themed atmosphere with beautiful decorations.

💜A special thank you to our Sweetwater Woman’s Club and Imperial Beach Woman’s Club sisters for joining us and showing your support. We truly appreciate your friendship and fellowship!
