Before March 2020, only a small group of people had an idea how the world would look like in coming months because of Covid 19. All of us witnessed the changes on the face of the planet where we had a unique experience of uncertainty, depression and fear of losing our lives, jobs and even loved ones. This horrible nightmare quickly became a reality when millions of US citizens lost their payrolls due to related shutdowns and the impact was global.
Many volunteer workers including me had to stop their activities as staying at home was one of the most effective ways to save lives. However, there can be many ways to reach out to the ones in need while still practicing social distancing.
I am Hamza Sulman, and ECHO California is my way to feel for my community. ECHO which abbreviates “Everyone Can Help Others”, gives each one of us an opportunity to share something we don’t want anymore with someone who really needs it. It’s doable, practical and easy. I would like to request all of you, especially my high school fellows to come forward and share your giveaways, that can be books, sports equipment, household essentials, food items or any kind of services on this website. Get connected through your email or phone number to the one who need it. Its how we can feel the pleasure of being able to make someone’s life better and support each other. Starting from California,I am hopeful to make ECHO successful throughout US and even expand it globally. So please come forward and be the part of my project by sharing it with your friends and family, and showing how much you care for the people around you. Let’s begin our ECHO journey together.
