Dan Handy was a loving, fall on the floor funny person who tragically lost his life in 1999. He was the type of person who would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it and the town of Califon and Station #44 lost a great man that night. Dan was committed to Califon Fire Co ( #44) and hanging out with his friends he was always there for them. He had an incredible work ethic and enjoyed volu

nteering when he could. He took a tremendous amount of pride in all that he did and worked for. This page was created to remember and honor him as well as updates on all events supporting his Memorial Fund that helps so many in his memory.

It's been many years since we've lost you. I miss your smile and Your warm heart is always with me. I hear your voice. I know you are watching over with us everyday. You never got to finish your life on this Earth. Michael is doing it for both of you. You would be so proud of him and his wonderful family. The kids call you Uncle Danny. Can you imagine you would have been an uncle to two wonderful kids. You would have been able to teach them your silly songs and it will always be Just 'Another Day In PARADISE " until we see each other again my sweet son I miss
you with all my heart 💜. I have to add You had some wonderful friends and fellow firefighters Who have stayed close to us and
helped us everyday to get through just knowing that they are there as well as their wonderful families
