Adam was bright, funny and full of life. He climbed trees, loved magic and brought joy wherever he went. He was also diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor at 6 years old.

Today, more than three decades later, children and families are still facing the same diagnosis Adam once did. We’re sharing Adam’s story to honor his life and remind the world why pediatric cancer research is so important.

Our Donor Relations Manager, Linda, and her family stopped in to enjoy a meal and take a break from the usual busy pace of life. Between busy schedules, careers and everything in between, time to sit down and catch up is always treasured time.

That is what makes moments like this matter. A place where families and friends can reconnect over a meal while also helping fund pediatric cancer research.

We are so grateful to Denny's for creating that kind of opportunity in communities across the country.

Meet Kieran 💚

Kieran was 3 years old when doctors diagnosed him with Wilms tumor on November 25, 2016. After months of constipation and a noticeably swollen abdomen, his family knew something was wrong and went to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where doctors immediately performed surgery to remove a softball-sized tumor from his right kidney and insert a medical port.

He completed 26 weeks of chemotherapy and was cancer free for six months before the cancer returned in November 2017 and spread to his lungs. He then underwent additional surgery, including the removal of part of his right lung, along with more chemotherapy and full chest radiation.

Today, Kieran is 12 years old and cancer free for nine years, living fully in his childhood again. He plays football, skis and cooks, and his family calls him the toughest cookie they know.

That’s why the work we do is so important. Because we’re actively changing that narrative with the help of like you.

Together, we’re funding research, advancing treatments and giving families hope.
