Troop 192 in Califon, chartered at the Lower Valley Presbyterian Church, is the only co-ed Scouts BSA program in the Voorhees sending district, with a current roster of 16 scouts – a great size for youth involvement and program agility.

Great work by Scouts BSA Califon Troop 192 doing a little community cleanup in Califon this morning! Filled several buckets with wrappers, bottles, cigarette butts, and much more. Please take care to dispose of your trash properly to keep our town and waterways clean!

The Scouts of Troop 192 spent our last meeting of the year cleaning out our troop trailer, identifying, cataloguing, and labeling our camping gear, and preparing a pile of unneeded gear for donation. We’re ready for Summer Camp and Fall camping!

The scouts of Troop 192 had a great meeting in Califon Island Park yesterday, learning about boating safety and then collecting several buckets of litter and debris from the park and downtown area.

Well the Troop 192 social media department has been slacking a bit, but let’s catch up! We had a great winter cabin campout at Ockanickon Scout Reservation in Feb followed by a scout movie night in March at our home base, Lower Valley Presbyterian Church. Our winter cabin campout featured fire starting skills training, badminton and volleyball tournaments, some great scout-cooked meals, and an epic Pictionary match! Our March movie night included a viewing of a scouting fave, Moonrise Kingdom. Troop 192 will be hitting the hiking trail in May, doing some whitewater rafting in PA, and participating in the Califon Memorial Day Parade. Scout On!

The Scouts of Califon troop 192 killed it at Klondike Derby last weekend, taking home 3rd place! Nice work, Scouts! Thanks to our friends at Lebanon Township Troop 92 for organizing, and to all of the tough adult leaders who braved the cold to support their scouts.

Our scouts had a great day-hike trip to the ice caves at Minnewaska State Park.

Great job by the scouts at our Scouting for Litter event. Picked up 8 buckets of trash and litter from all over town, and stopped by to check out the amazing Traveling Vietnam Memorial wall in Califon Island Park. It is there til 6 PM today.
