Calhoun High School chapter of SkillsUSA traveled to GNTC in Walker Campus for Region Championships. 14 of our students competed with the best in our region and we came away with 2 silver medals with all advancing to State in February. Elauria Mattox placed 2nd in First-Aid CPR and the Quiz Bowl team of Mandy Chen, Isaac Tibbs, Katherine Castillo, Herman Chen, Alleria Goodwin, Ella Kinnear, Aslann Trice, Camden Willis, Cole Wilbanks also earned a 2nd place finish.
The following students also competed today: Will Pass, Job Skill Demonstration A; Angie Urdapilleta, Prepared Speech; Cristian Chavez, Extemporaneous Speaking; and Catherine Wells, Job Interview.
In January our Video Broadcast team will compete for a Top 16 in the State. As always, our students represented CHS with excellence.

Eleven of our students competed with the best in our region and we came away with 10 gold and 1 silver medals with all advancing to State in February. Sara Elise Gallman placed 1st in T-Shirt Design. Ava Dobash placed 1st in Extemporaneous Speaking, Olivia Dodd earned a 1st place in Job Interview, and Gracie Russell placed 2nd in the always tough competition of Job Skill Demonstration. The Quiz Bowl team of Eduardo Orellana, Jayden Heath, Pippa McKinney, Huong Do, Hanz Ceballos, Isaac Tibbs, and Mandy Chen earned a 1st place finish.
