Gordon Central is proud to recognize and honor our alumni who have served or are currently serving in the military, as well as those who serve our communities as first responders.

If you know a Gordon Central alumnus who is a veteran, active-duty military member, law enforcement officer, firefighter, EMT, paramedic, or other first responder, please tag them in the comments below!

We would love to extend an invitation for them to join us at our Homecoming Football Game on September 11th at 7:30pm, where we will recognize their service and dedication during the game!

Today, we remember our brothers and sisters that did not make it home. We honor their sacrifice and remember the times we shared with them. Please pray for the families and friends left behind, particularly those that are still here with, but still wrestling with the darkness.

National Police Week

At the Dalton Police Department, we are proud to stand alongside officers across the nation who work tirelessly to protect and serve. We especially take this time to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

I wanted to say "Thank You!" to Chuck Williams (aka The Woodchuck) for donating this handmade flag for our Post Birthday Party this year! It is beautifully made! We will be raffling this flag off (and other items) this Saturday at Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5376 -Calhoun, GA. Our party will be from 11am to 2pm. The event is free to the community, raffle tickets and food items will be available for reasonable prices. Come on out and help us support Veterans in our area!
