Eastern Alliance of El Paso County Committee Working to connect the citizens of rural El Paso County with services and resources We want to be the change we want to see in our community.

We host monthly meetings to connect residents of Ellicott, Colorado, and surrounding areas with available services and resources. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those in need and at risk in our rural communities. We wish to create a community with a welcoming atmosphere for everyone, a place for community members to express their needs, and a regular meeting space where service

providers and residents can connect. Our goal is to strive to meet the needs of our rural communities through volunteer service by reaching out to other nonprofits and county organizations to develop unification through communication. We have come together with a heart for the people to help improve the resilience of our community one step at a time. We are not formally affiliated with any other group in the area, and we are not affiliated with the El Paso County government. We will be striving for non-profit status as we develop our organization.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Bob Selle. He was so vibrant and passionate, and his dedication to supporting his community was deeply inspiring. He will be missed at our meetings, where his cheerful optimism and deep connections to his community contributed hope and depth to our discussions about providing support services in eastern El Paso County, but we know that this was such a tiny piece of all the work Bob did to support his community.

We express our condolences to his family, to the city of Calhan, and to the Eastern Plains Community Pantry. All of us who experienced his heart as a public servant will miss him.
