We are a nonprofit organization that provides assistance to families and youth by connecting them to health coverage, food, and local resources.

BFRC has two locations in California: National City, in San Diego, and

With Summer break approaching, Sun Bucks (Summer EBT) will begin in June!
What are Sun Bucks? A federal program that helps families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families will get $120 for each eligible child to buy groceries during the summer. For more information check out the flow chart below or contact the helpline (877)328-9677.

Attention DACA Recipients!

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients across California may have concerns and fears of any impacts on their status or eligibility for health insurance coverage. In California, DACA recipients are eligible to enroll in healthcare coverage through Covered California, and many may be eligible to receive financial help.

Covered California announced a new Qualifying Life Event (QLE), “DACA recipient”, allowing qualified consumers to enroll through a Special Enrollment Period from February 1 until December 31, 2025

Please note that purchasing insurance through Covered California and receiving financial assistance to pay for the insurance does not make an individual a “Public Charge”
