Nuestro comité de Guerreras está compuesta de 25 mujeres líderes. Se han estado reuniendo semanalmente para crear un proyecto artístico comunitario a largo plazo, fundamentado en la memoria y la resistencia. Primero, las integrantes recopilaron fotografías familiares significativas y realizaron diseños a mano alzada. A continuación, utilizaron la cianotipia para transferir las imágenes a tela. Este mes, están embelleciendo cada cuadrado con bordados y adornos. Próximamente, unirán los paneles mediante costuras y añadirán palabras para crear una pancarta que portarán en la marcha del Primero de Mayo de este año. Every morning, Jean Bosco Birasinyeri arrives before the children.

For eight years, he has helped make Rwanda Children a place where safety is not assumed—it’s practiced.

Ask him why he stays, and his answer is simple: “I am committed to keeping the children and my team safe.”

That kind of faithfulness isn’t hired.

It shows up in small moments like this—quiet, consistent, and close—formed over time by love for a community and the decision to keep showing up.

Como parte de nuestro ciclo actual sobre la "descolonización de la alimentación", los jóvenes están explorando las ricas historias y los conocimientos indígenas en torno a alimentos como el maíz y los frijoles. La semana pasada, una madre de la comunidad dirigió una sesión sobre la elaboración de obras de arte con hojas de maíz. Primero se reunió con nuestro equipo de Organizadores Juveniles (¡el cual incluye a su propio hijo!) para enseñarles de modo que ellos pudieran luego asistir a nuestros participantes más pequeños. Este fue uno de los muchos y hermosos momentos de enseñanza y aprendizaje que ejemplifican el modelo de liderazgo intergeneracional de Juntos en acción.

He’s 14 years old, a Secondary-2 student at Rwanda Children Christian School—and he carries a quiet confidence that shows in everything he does.

Math is his favorite subject. And when you ask about his future, he doesn’t hesitate:

“I want to be an engineer.”

We believe in Miguel.

And we’re committed to walking with him as he becomes who God created him to be.

Please pray for the people in Mynmar. Agape Asia Network is working to help many.

In Myanmar people still are seeking refuge from the civil war raging around them. In spite of the fear and danger, our partner recently shared the words of hope resonating with them. Psalms 91:1-2, ""Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, 'He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.'" We praise God for the hope He provides even in the darkest times and places in our lives. Please, join us in praying for His light to continue shining into the most vulnerable places where we serve as we care for children, empower local ministries, and disciple communities.
