Hey everyone!! 💐
We just wanted to take a moment to share a little update on our very first Mother’s Day event—and what an amazing day it turned out to be!
The Caledonia Memorial Global Methodist Church hosted a wonderful craft show in the old IGA building at the corner of Marion St. & Main St., filled with so many incredible vendors (we definitely didn’t leave with just one item 😉).
That event gave us the perfect opportunity to build onto something special—offering free kids’ crafts so they could create Mother’s Day gifts straight from the heart.
Despite the cold, this community SHOWED UP ❤️
We had:
🐾 Marion Area Humane Society with some adorable pups
📚 Marion Public Library bringing the book van and free books
🎈 Cooper & Co Balloons bringing the fun
And this event truly came together because of so many generous hearts:
✨ American Legion Post 401 for funding the crafts and balloons
🌸 Landes Fresh Produce for the beautiful flowers
🍕 Big G’s Dugout Pizza for the potting soil and a warm space out of the wind
💅 Thistle & Brush Village Salon for supplies, space, and relaxing hand & arm massages (with Gracelynn donating her time!)
Plus so many wonderful individuals who stepped up in big ways—helping with crafts, photos, flowers, raffle items, flyers, and more. You know who you are, and we are so grateful for each of you 💛
We don’t share these names for recognition—but to show what can happen when a community comes together.
Was it the biggest turnout? No.
But the smiles on the kids’ faces as they made gifts for their moms and Mimi’s? That made it all worth it. 💐
This is what Caledonia is all about. And we’re just getting started. ❤️
