❤️🦸 REAL HEROES DON'T NEED TO V**E!

It's Day 2 of Red Ribbon Week, and we're starting a conversation about va**ng, healthy choices, and the things we enjoy doing instead!

We know that va**ng has become a concern among young people, but instead of just talking about why va**ng is harmful, we want to focus on something positive.

What do YOU do instead of va**ng?

Maybe it's playing sports, going to the gym, listening to music, hanging out with friends, playing video games, creating art, or just getting outside and enjoying some fresh air.

There are so many ways to have fun, relieve stress, and connect with others without ni****ne.

At the 2C Drug Free Coalition, we believe prevention is about more than telling young people what NOT to do. It's about helping them discover healthy activities, build positive relationships, and make choices that support their future.

❤️ Make A Difference. Be A Hero. Stay Drug Free.

💬 LET'S HEAR FROM YOU! What's something you enjoy doing instead of va**ng? Parents, students, teachers, and community members, jump into the comments! Your answer might inspire someone else to try something new.

Together, we can help build a healthier, drug-free Canyon County!

❤️🦸 BE A HERO! CLEAN OUT YOUR MEDICINE CABINET! 💊

It's Red Ribbon Week, and today we're celebrating National Prescription Drug Take Back Day!

This year's Red Ribbon Week theme is "Make A Difference. Be A Hero. Stay Drug Free." And being a hero can start right in your own home!

Did you know that unused or expired prescription medications left in medicine cabinets can pose a risk to children, teens, and others in our community?

You can help prevent prescription drug misuse by safely disposing of medications you no longer need.

📅 Saturday, October 24, 2026

⏰ 10 AM – 2 PM

📍 Find a participating collection location near you at www.DEATakeBack.com

At the 2C Drug Free Coalition, we believe prevention starts at home. Every medication safely disposed of is one less opportunity for misuse or accidental exposure.

❤️ You don't need a cape to be a hero. Sometimes, all it takes is cleaning out your medicine cabinet!

🦸 Make A Difference. Be A Hero. Stay Drug Free.

💬 Have you checked your medicine cabinet lately? Share this reminder with your friends and family to help keep Canyon County safe!

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday.
We’ll be at the Neighborhood Walmart at Roosevelt and Middleton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a drive-through and drop-off opportunity in the parking lot.
This is a quick and easy way to get rid of unused prescriptions so they don’t get into the wrong hands. They are dangerous - often tragic.

Why quit va**ng? While something like a tracheostomy is an extreme outcome, it highlights why it's important to think about long-term effects, especially with heavy or prolonged use. Va**ng has been linked to serious lung conditions such as EVALI (E-cigarette or Va**ng product use-Associated Lung Injury), pneumonia, lung inflammation, and even respiratory failure.

National Heat Awareness Day is a reminder that heatstroke happens faster than we think - especially for kids.
