Mutineers Rugby Football Club

Mutineers Rugby Football Club The Mutineers RFC is striving to serve a full range of players from youth to senior men and women.

The Mutineers RFC is poised to make a tad bit of history in the state of Idaho. On March 22, 2014 we will be the first club in the state to host our HS boys, men's AND women's home games together at one pitch on the same day. We should have a youth exhibition match just to really set us apart. AWESOME.

The HS boys team is playing touch rugby tomorrow (sat. 2/1) at Nampa HS starting at 10AM. If anyone wants a little cardio and to get their hands on the ball a bit, feel free to come out and run.

Our first leadership meeting was awesome. We really do have a great core of people. A glimpse of the future of the club was shared and roles began to be defined and filled. We have a long way to go but the journey has begun and is its' own reward. We will want more help and we will be asking you to search for the role that fits your strengths. Together, we can show Idaho and the space beyond its' borders what a true top to bottom club should be.

This morning Brandon Knapton (the MRFC ho**er), his daughter Emma and I went over to further our rugby cause at Washington Elementary. Today we had a class of 4th graders (nearly 30) playing their first ever day of touch rugby.

There was plenty of excitement from the kids and the PE teacher was very excited and appreciative. Many of the kids expressed more than a little interest in playing in the U10 league this year (starting 10/19).

We will be back at the school Friday, Monday and Tuesday (from 9-10:40AM) giving the rest of the 4,5 and 6th graders a taste of our great sport.

MRFC is looking for local volunteers to pass out youth league flyers at local youth football events for the next couple of Saturdays. This is of vital importance to the immediate growth and success of our U10, U13 inaugural season, Please message me.
