to the boy she met when she was 13, a loving mother of 2, a "Mom-Mom" to 3 little boys, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend to countless people...a beautiful woman both inside and out. Thousands can attest to the beautiful spirit of this one-of-a-kind woman. A selfless, faith-filled, loving, giving, life of the party, left an imprint on the hearts of everyone she encountered. The joy and the love of her Lord radiated from her eyes and smile. The strongest woman we knew was facing the greatest battle anyone could ever face...a terminal illness with no current cure, ALS and she did it with faith, hope and love in her heart. It was in Febuary 2014 that Paulette began noticing some slight changes in her speech. From March to July, as her speech got progressively worse, she traveled from doctor to doctor searching for an explanation. When swallowing began to give her problems in August, we were led to a doctor that gave her the diagnosis of ALS. After multiple doctors agreed with this diagnosis, we chose to continue to trust God for a miracle or cure. Even after 3 years and being completely paralyzed and then being diagnosed with BREAST CANCER. this amazingly strong woman chooses to trust in her promise of a healing. She would say its "By his stripes, we have been healed"-1 Peter 2:24. Paulette and her husband Steve would get up each morning and start their day in prayer filling their spirits with the Word of God. She woke up choosing to push through each challenge with a smile on her face, joy in her eyes, and faith in her heart as she inspired others. So we continued to believe with her. Jesus said, "'Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.' And his servant was healed at that moment"-Matthew 8:13. We looked forward to the day that we could post "SHE IS HEALED!" AMEN! -4/2017
She passed knowing her miracle was to be fulfilled either in this world or in the world to come. Paulette is now made whole in heaven and here on earth, her life and legacy lives on giving back to others through her foundation.
