Happy April, don’t forget to sign your teen up for this opportunity! You have a little over a month to get your teen registered for our first camp, May 28th-31st. We look forward to hosting your military teens in Idaho!!

Idaho's 4-H OMY program is proud to present A walk on the wild side Military Teen Adventure Camp! This camp is open to all military connected teens across the country to come to Idaho to experience the great outdoors Idaho has to offer. Teens ages 13 to 18 are invited to come and experience some great outdoor activities we have planned and meet other military teens from across the country. Our first MTAC will be held May 28th-31st in Cascade, registration deadline is May 6th and our second will be held July 22nd-25th registration deadline is July 1st. Great opportunity for youth to gain leadership skills!!

Where does the time go? WELL, GOOD NEWS!!!! We have extended the date for the SD Teen retreat until March 29th. 😊 Please see the updated flyer attached and have youth join us for this all-day adventure!
• The event is being held on April 13th and our team did not want to give up! We know how busy everyone has been and our iLEADS Teen officer and SD Teen Retreat representative Ruth Galloway said, “WE can do this!” We need 42 youth to make it a go and out of 10 counties, we got this.
• Thank you Southern District in advance for your help recruiting.
• Scholarships are available in several counties so please let me know if that is an obstacle we can overcome.
• We plan on having games for team building which even includes a 4-H Escape room game. We will also provide lunch, a choice of archery, zipline, or climbing wall. We have a survivor game just in case any of those activities don’t work or if some would rather be inside. We would like to end with smores, reflect at the end, and load the bus by 5:00pm.
• Transportation is provided with water and snacks - On April 13th we will start in Caldwell at the UI Complex 1904 E. Chicago St. Caldwell, ID 83605 at 7:00am. The second stop is at the Ada County Extension office at 8:00am heading then to the YMCA Camp at Horsethief Reservoir. We depart at 5:00pm at Ada County Extension 1st at aprox. 6:30pm then off to Caldwell at aprox. 7:30pm.

There are so many things to enjoy about the fall, but what happens when chilly and rainy days upset your plans for a sun-filled perfect autumn day?
