It was Texas all the way today at the CMQG Quilt Camp. We brought our projects and had a nice day of sewing and catching up with friends. There was a baked potato bar, salads and desserts served up for lunch. Pictured are some of our members working and learning. We were challenged to make a block of something representing Texas. These will all be won by one member when we meet again tomorrow.

Our meeting started today with a recap of our recent quilt show. We all agreed that it was one of our best. After the business meeting we had our Sew and Show. Pictures of projects are shown, along with some members working on their jackets that were started last month.

Here you can see the quilts we donated to Sleep In Heavenly Peace at our quilt show earlier this month. The four patch blocks made by attendees of last year’s show were made into three beautiful quilts by our member Judy Hubnik. This year we have even more blocks (259) to make quilts for SIHP made be attendees from our show. We also presented the flower quilt from last year’s challenge blocks. The quilt was assembled by Pamela Wolf Unnasch.

Many of us at Creative Memories Quilt Guild feel this same way about our little guild in Caldwell. Guilds are a great way to share our art and experiences. Plus learn while having fun.
