This is something new for the Kraitchar House! During the Kolache Festival we will be having a landscape fundraiser. We are selling 1 year-old Live Oak trees in pots, ready to plant, harvested from the large Live Oak tree in the backyard of the Kraitchar House. But, each tree has been assigned a name of a Kraitchar family member. The photos and a short story of the family member are posted on the tree stake. So, you will help the landscape fundraiser and learn something about the Kraitchar family that lived in the house!!
One example photo is included, but there will be five different Kraitchar family members for the trees during the sale. Which Kraitchar family Live Oak tree will you plant in your yard?!?! Each tree is $20.

Starting March our monthly meetings will be at 6pm instead of at noon. Join us the third Tuesday of the month.

Drive-thru "Baked Potato Lunch" at the Caldwell Fire Station on April 1 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. We are not fooling! For $10 you get a baked potato loaded with pulled pork BBQ, sour cream and cheese. Tickets can be obtained from any Historical Society member or call Patty at 979-219-3168. Presale tickets only, no tickets available at the lunch.

Excited to start Heritage Week with opening the Kraitchar House Museum to the public from 1:00-3:00 on Saturday, March 22. After visiting the house, walk down the street to the Czech Museum for their Heritage Day.
